Central Iowa has not seen much snowfall this winter season, but be prepared, it looks as though most of Iowa was covered in snow during the holiday weekend.
On Saturday, December 11, Des Moines and surrounding areas have finally seen what seems to be the beginning of the snowy season. Although not much snow actually accumulated, the winter storm definitely made its presence known with forceful winds blowing snow and creating sheets of ice on roads and parking lots.
Last December, we reminded you to use our after hours parts line during significant snowstorms. December 2010 looks a little different as far as snowfall accumulation.
As of December 9, Central Iowa has seen no accumulation of snow; the only snowfall Des Moines and its surrounding areas has gotten is a few hours of flurries.
Thank you so much to all those who made Snowplow Days 2010 the big success it was. At this year's event, we had more than 150 guests in attendance and saw a lot of interest in learning more about all of our winter equipment.
