Huge Snowstorm Welcomes Winter
December, 2009
The Midwest typically sees winter weather in November, with bitter cold air, frigid wind chills, and usually the occasional snow fall. This November, however, was full of surprises. Temperatures were in the 60's at some point and we really saw no significant amount of snow. Just when we thought that winter 2009 was going to be a fairly easy going one, December eighth hit. It seems like 'Old Man Winter' finally found Iowa. Blizzard conditions engulfed the state as businesses, events, high schools, and colleges closed on December ninth. Ice covered the roads making it nearly impossible to drive anywhere. With all of that being said, the winter season has officially made it's imprint on Iowa and the Midwest. It cannot be stressed enough how vital snow plows and salt and sand spreaders are in this region of the United States. If you have not purchased a snow plow or spreader, or if you need it serviced or to acquire parts, come to Truck Equipment where we will provide you with the best service and parts! Don't let winter catch you off guard.
