Tip of the Month 2009

December, 2009

With every newsletter, we include a "tip of the month" box, giving you helpful information dealing with truck equipment.  Here are the tips we have given so far:

September:  Check with Truck Equipment's sales department before buying a truck to install a snow plow on.  Often, when buying a new or used truck, the front axle is not rated heavy enough to carry the snow plow.

October:  Service your snow plow every season to make sure it runs smoothly when you need it the most.

November:  Always use low temp plow hydraulic fluid to keep the plow from freezing up and prevent slow plow action.

December:  Carry these common plow parts to shorten your down time:  solenoid, Qf Fluid, pressure hose, trip springs, eye bolts, and hitch pins.  If you need to replace one of these parts in a hurry or on the road, it will make it so much easier having the parts with you.

Look for the "Tip of the Month" in every monthly newsletter online or subscribe to the email newsletter now!
